Happy Friday! We have a busy weekend ahead of us! We celebrate the Presentation of the Lord this weekend at Mass! At the 4:30 Mass, we will pray for and send-off our Mission Team who are travelling this week to Honduras. At the 10:00 Mass, we will have the chance to meet our parish's Confirmation Candidates who will be Confirmed this Spring, and have a chance to pray for them as well.

Closing Prayer
This Monday is the feast of St. Blaise, a martyr of the early church. He is invoked as the patron saint for healing the throats. So each year, on February 3rd, the blessing of the throats is given during Mass, Morning Prayer, or Evening Prayer, and the St. Blaise blessing is quite well known. We will be offering the blessing of the throats after each Mass this weekend at St. Gabriel.
Through the intercession of St. Blaise,
bishop and martyr,
may God deliver you from every disease
of the throat and from every other illness:
in the name of the Father, and of the Son
and of the Holy Spirit.
