We have another amazing weekend coming up! First, remember to sign up for Rise Against Hunger tomorrow! Last year, we packed 50,000 meals, and we can't wait to do so again!
This weekend, we celebrate the Sunday of Divine Mercy. As we close out the Octave of Easter, we take time to remember in the Easter Season God's unfailing love for us. This Sunday and next, we will be celebrating the First Communion of our 2nd grade students, and we ask you to pray for them as well!

Alleluia, Alleluia, Let the Holy Anthem Rise!
We give thanks to God for his love for us, which is
manifest in so many ways. Most especially in His
Son’s death and resurrection for our salvation.
In the spirit of giving thanks and with Lent and Holy
Week and the numerous liturgies and adorations, still
fresh in our memories, I want to give thanks to all the
musicians. Many hours of practice go into the few
hours of music that we all enjoy.
Musicians (young and old) thank you so much for
your loving devotion. St. Gabriel’s is truly blessed by
your musical abilities. Thank you for volunteering
your time and sharing your beautiful gift of music.

Youth Local Mission
Once again, students from our 5 parishes are taking a week this summer to serve our local community. Students in grade 6-12; sign up by clicking the link below to help!
This summer, we have Middle and High School Students participating in amazing faith opportunities! We have groups going to a Steubenville Conference, a Mission Trip to Oklahoma, as well as serving the communities here in Neenah-Menasha! If you would like to help support these students, we would love to invite you to our Pancake Breakfast next weekend!

Closing Prayer
We've all heard the saying, "Men make plans, and God laughs". So of course, I planned ahead of a few weeks of closing prayers, then I have to upend my schedule when the Pope passed away.
Tomorrow will be the funeral for the Holy Father. I won't be watching it live, it will be at about 3am Wisconsin time. But, Bishop Ricken will be celebrating a memorial Mass tomorrow at 4:00pm, at the Shrine of Our Lady of Champion, in Champion, WI.
When the Pope dies, before the conclave can begin, the Church mourns for a nine-day period, which will start tomorrow with his funeral. I would like to urge you all to pray with me, with us, and with the whole world for Pope Francis at this time. I have attached the novena for the next 9 days of prayer, and our closing prayer for this week is taken from the Funeral Mass for Pope Francis (translated to English).
O God, immortal shepherd of our souls,
look on your peoples prayers
and grant that your servant Pope Francis,
who presided over your Church in charity,
may, with the flock entrusted to his care,
receive from your mercy the reward of a faithful steward.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
God, for ever and ever.
Amen.
