Dear Parishioners and Friends -
Christ is Risen, Alleluia!
Happy Friday! I hope you are all enjoying your Easter season! Coming to the end of Easter means that we have some exciting feasts coming up instead of regular Sundays! Next weekend, we have the Ascension; then in the month of June, we do not have any regular Sunday celebrations! Instead, we have the Solemnities of: Pentecost; the Holy Trinity; The Body and Blood of Christ; and Saints Peter and Paul! This makes it a great month of prayer, so I will be sure to get some great ones in the closing prayer section of the newsletter, but first I want to focus on Corpus Christi!
If you haven't picked up your free copy of 33 Days to Eucharistic Glory, I suggest you do that this weekend at Mass. We still have some left on the table in Stingle Hall. Then, check out the posters below to learn about your opportunity to pray this consecration with our parish. God of power and mercy,
you destroy war and put down earthly pride.
Banish violence from our midst and wipe away our tears,
that we may all deserve to be called your sons and daughters.
Keep in your mercy those men and women
who have died in the cause of freedom
and bring them safely into your kingdom of justice and peace.
We ask this through Christ our Lord
